The Vaatalya project was a work-exchange opportunity that took me to Himachal Pradesh, where I worked closely with the client while redesigning their entire Squarespace website. Since I was staying and working directly on-site, I got the chance to sit with the client almost every day, discuss ideas in real time, understand how things were being operated, and immediately implement changes based on those conversations. That direct involvement made the work much more accurate and aligned with what they truly wanted to build.
The website had around 10 pages focused on different retreat and experience offerings like Quietcation retreats, wellness workshops, naturalist experiences, and astronomy retreats. Quietcation was one of the main focus areas, so a lot of attention went into making that experience feel calm, clear, and immersive through the design and structure of the website.
Apart from redesigning the complete website, I also worked on automating parts of their lead flow. We connected Squarespace forms with Make and ManyChat to create WhatsApp automations for follow-ups and lead engagement. This helped make the communication process smoother and more organized after someone submitted an inquiry through the website.
